Qualification

• Master’s degree in Natural / Biotechnology / Microbiology or Agricultural Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant experience in R&D in academic Institutions.

Pay

Rs.33,000/- + 30% House Rent Allowance per month

Project details

Preference

Candidates with experience in plant molecular biology, recombinant DNA technology, cloning, plant transformation and tissue culture techniques and having published a primary research paper in a peer reviewed international journal will be preferred.

Job requirements

The incumbent would have to design and construct binary vectors, CRISPR constructs, conduct photoperiod related experiments, carry out real time gene expression analysis, conduct transcriptome analysis, generate transgenic overexpression and knock out lines for phenotypic analysis, weekly presentation to the PI and team work.

Tenure

Initially for a period of one year extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.

Appointment status

The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation. The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment / absorption in IISER Pune.

Qualification recognition

The prescribed educational qualification should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions.

Vacancy variation

Number of posts may vary depending upon the requirements during the selection process.

In case, a selected candidate does not join or resigns after joining the post, waitlisted candidate/s may be offered the position.

Interview expenses

No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.
