Jharkhand High Court Law Researcher Recruitment 2026: direct answer
High Court of Jharkhand has invited applications by email for 25 Law Researcher/Research Associate positions carrying ₹40,000 per month. Vacancy and eligibility
There are 25 Law Researcher/Research Associate positions . An applicant must satisfy the academic, age and recommendation conditions together.
Eligible academic status
- Fresh Law Graduate or Law Postgraduate from a University/College recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- Student in the fifth year of a five-year integrated law course.
- Student in the final year of a three-year law course.
Final-year applicants must pass their final LL.B examination before engagement. All examinations must have been cleared on the first attempt, and the candidate must have at least 60% aggregate marks .
Recommendation requirement
- A practising lawyer must provide a recommendation from a designated Senior Advocate.
- A non-practising applicant must provide a recommendation from the head of the last law school, college or university attended.
Who should not apply?
A person pursuing a postgraduate law course or another programme requiring compulsory attendance is not eligible for engagement. The selected candidate also cannot simultaneously practise as an advocate or take another job.

Remuneration and tenure
The consolidated remuneration is ₹40,000 per month . Initial engagement is for one year and may be extended once, subject to the High Court's decision. Total engagement cannot exceed two years.
This is a contractual research role. It does not create a right to permanent judicial or court service. Confidential court material and research work must be handled strictly according to the engagement conditions.
Selection process
