Qualification

• Post Graduate Degree in Entomology/Agricultural Entomology/ Zoology/ any relevant discipline of life sciences from a recognized university
• Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC NET), including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship), and GATE.
• Selection through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies/Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT,…

Pay

Rs.37, 000/- + HRA per month as per DST O.M. No. DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 (E-file-41804) dated 26.06.2023.

Reservation and temporary status

The position is purely unreserved, temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Late arrival

Late arrival (After 9:30 AM) of applicants for the interview will be considered as ABSENT.

No TA/DA

No TA/DA will be given to the candidates for attending the interview.

Immediate availability

The position is available immediately, so the selected candidate is expected to join immediately.

Contractual appointment and no regular claim

The selected candidates shall not claim for any regular appointments at this institute as the above positions are purely contractual, non-regular, time bound and are co-terminus with the project.

Tenure and possible extension

The tenure of engagement will be initially for a period up to 12 months from the date of engagement or term of the project, whichever is earlier. The services of the incumbent shall stand terminated automatically on expiry of the period given in the offer letter. Subject to extension of term of project, the engagement may be further extended as decided by the competent authority subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate and work requirement.

Unsatisfactory performance

During the period of engagement, If the performance is non-satisfactory, the incumbent could be terminated from the position with one- month notice.

NOC for employed candidates

No objection certificate from the employer, in case he/ she has an employment.

Relative declaration

Candidates whose near/ distant relative(s) is an employee of the ICAR/ IARI, has to declare it and communicate this office as per format given below.
