Who should apply? / कौन आवेदन कर सकता है?
- 10th-pass candidates can check 54 MTS (Sanitation) posts plus Library Attendant, Animal Attendant and Barber roles, subject to each post's extra conditions.
- Pharmacy diploma holders registered under the Pharmacy Act can check Pharmacist Grade-II.
- Eligible medical graduates can check the Medical Officer post.
- Candidates with the prescribed Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering or Computer Science background and experience can check Computer Programmer.

Post-wise Vacancy, Pay, Age and Qualification
- Library Attendant Grade-I (LIBATT/060), Chandigarh — 1 SC; Pay Level 3 ₹21,700–69,100; age 18–30; Matric with Science, Library Science diploma and one year library experience.
- Animal Attendant (AA/180), Chandigarh — 1 UR; Pay Level 1 ₹18,000–56,900; age 18–30; Matric, ability to read/write Hindi, English or Punjabi and cleaning knowledge; relevant experience desirable.
- Barber (BARBER/149), Chandigarh — 1 OBC; Pay Level 1 ₹18,000–56,900; age 18–30; Matric with two years trade experience.
- Multi Tasking Staff (Sanitation) Grade-III (SAG-III/095), Chandigarh — 54 posts: UR 28, ST 12, OBC 7, EWS 7; Pay Level 1 ₹18,000–56,900; age 18–30; Matric plus sweeping, dusting and cleaning knowledge.
- Medical Officer (MO/151), Sangrur — 1 UR; Pay Level 10 ₹56,100–1,77,500; age 18–30; recognized medical qualification, State Medical Council registration and prescribed training.
- Computer Programmer (CP/047), Sangrur — 1 UR; Pay Level 7 ₹44,900–1,42,400; age 18–35; specified Mathematics/Statistics/Physics/Engineering/Computer Science qualification with prescribed programming experience.
- Pharmacist Grade-II (PHRM/059), Sangrur — 1 UR; Pay Level 5 ₹29,200–92,300; age 18–30; Matric, Pharmacy diploma and registered pharmacist status.
- Selected Satellite Centre candidates will serve at Sangrur, Punjab and cannot claim a Chandigarh post.
Age Limit and Category Relaxation
Age is calculated on 19 October 2026. The normal post-wise limit is 18–30 years, except Computer Programmer, which is 18–35 years. Candidates claiming relaxation must hold the prescribed valid certificate. OBC-NCL and EWS certificates must meet the notice's 2026–27 issue-period and Central-format requirements.
- SC/ST: 5 years.
- OBC: 3 years.
- PwBD: 10 years.
- PwBD with SC/ST: 15 years.
- PwBD with OBC: 13 years.
- Eligible Central Government employees, ex-servicemen, widows/divorced women, J&K domiciles and other notified categories receive relaxation only as specified in the official notice.
Application Fee / आवेदन शुल्क
- PwBD candidates: fee exempt.
- SC/ST candidates: ₹800 plus transaction charges.
- General/OBC/EWS and all other candidates: ₹1,500 plus transaction charges.
- Pay online using debit card, credit card or net banking. The official notice advises avoiding UPI. The fee is non-refundable.
Selection Process and CBT Pattern
- Computer Based Test for eligible online applicants.
- Application and document scrutiny of shortlisted candidates.
- Skill test where prescribed for the post.
- Document verification.
- Interview only for the Group A Medical Officer post.
- Final merit and appointment subject to eligibility verification.
Group B and C CBT: 100 MCQs in 100 minutes for 100 marks. Group A CBT: 85 MCQs in 85 minutes for 85 marks, followed by a 15-mark interview. Each correct answer carries one mark and 0.25 mark is deducted for a wrong answer. The paper is in English. Qualifying marks are 40% for General/EWS and 35% for SC/ST/OBC. Exam cities include Amritsar, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh/Mohali, Dehradun, Delhi/NCR, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna and Shimla, subject to availability.
How to Apply Online / आवेदन कैसे करें
- Open the official PGIMER application portal from the Apply Online link.
- Register with the advertisement number, name, date of birth, mobile number and personal email.
- Log in and select the correct post and post code.
- Complete personal, qualification and experience details exactly as supported by certificates.
- Upload the prescribed photograph and self-attested certificates. The photo should be a 50–80 KB JPG/JPEG taken on or after 1 June 2026, with candidate name and date visible.
- Pay the applicable fee through the online gateway.
- Review every entry before final submission because changes are not allowed after final submit.
- Submit and keep the completed application printout and payment proof.
- For multiple posts, submit the prescribed separate fee for each post.
Documents and Important Conditions
- Matriculation certificate for date of birth and qualification certificates/marksheets from Matric onward.
- Valid SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD certificate where applicable.
- Required experience and professional registration certificates.
- NOC for candidates employed in Government, semi-Government or autonomous bodies.
- Do not submit duplicate applications for the same category; all may be cancelled.
- Use an active email and mobile number and do not wait until the final hour.
- Eligibility remains provisional until PGIMER verifies original documents.
