Periyar University has issued an official recruitment notification for Guest Faculty.

One Guest Faculty position in the Department of Energy Science and Technology, appointed purely on a temporary and consolidated basis for the stated academic-period requirement.

Extension, permanent employment and termination: The University reserves the right to extend or not to extend the tenure of any or all candidates appointed, without assigning any reason. Also, permanent employment in future cannot be claimed. If the services of Guest Faculty is found unsatisfactory he/she will be terminated immediately without any notice.

Qualification

• Ph. D – in respective / related subject (Mechanical/Electrical and Electronics/Electronics and Communication/Agriculture Engineering /Physics/Chemistry/ Energy Science/Energy Technology)
• M.E – in respective / related subject (Mechanical/Electrical and Electronics/Electronics and Communication/Agriculture Engineering /Physics/Chemistry/ Energy Science/Energy Technology)
• M.Tech – in respective / related subject (Mechanical/Electrical and Electronics/Electronics and Communication/Agriculture Engineering /Physics/Chemistry/ Energy Science/Energy Technology)

Pay

consolidated pay of Rs.30,000/- [Rupees Thirty thousand only] per month

Appointment basis and tenure

This Guest Faculty appointment is purely on Temporary and consolidated basis and is made only for the existing requirement and hence the period of temporary appointment is only for the odd/Even semester of academic year 2026-2027 or until further orders.

Pay exclusions

The Guest faculty will not be given the benefit of allowances, pensions, gratuity and leave etc., as admissible to the regular teachers.

TA/DA

No TA/DA etc. will be paid to candidates for attending the Interview.

Canvassing

Canvassing in any form or bringing of any influence will be treated as disqualification on the part of the candidate.

Interview date or time changes

Any request for change/relaxation of date/time for the interview, will not be entertained.

University discretion

The University reserves the right to conduct or not to conduct the Interview as scheduled. Also, the University reserves the right to appoint or not to appoint any candidates in this Interview without assigning any reason.
