Qualification

• Matriculation pass or its equivalent from recognized Boards.
• Certificate of competency as Engine Driver from a recognized Government Institute or equivalent.

Service classification and pay level

General Central Service, Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial in Pay Level- 04 in the pay matrix

Desirable qualification

Two years service as Sarang on a Vessel of over four hundred Boat Horse Power.

Ex-Servicemen age relaxation

Relaxable for Ex-Servicemen in accordance with the orders issued by Central Govt. in this regard.
