CENTRAL RAILWAY has issued an official recruitment notification for Sports Quota — Level 5/4.

Five Sports Quota posts across Athletics (Women), Football (Men), Kho-Kho (Women) and Volleyball (Women), subject to the printed event/position requirements.

Sports achievements/eligibility norms — Level 5/4: a) Represented the country in Olympics Games (Senior Category); b) At least 3rd position in World Cup (Junior/Youth/Senior) OR; c) At least 3rd position in World Championships (Junior /Senior ) OR; d) At least 3rd position in Asian Games (Senior) OR; e) At least 3rd position in Commonwealth Games (Senior) OR; f) At least 3rd position in Youth Olympics OR; g) At least 3rd position in Champions Trophy (Hockey).

Qualification

Minimum Graduation in any faculty from a recognized University.

Pay

Level – 5/4; Initial Pay (in ₹) 29200/- / 25500/-

Sports-event recency

Sports performance will be adjudged on the basis of the Participation in sports events held on or after 01/04/2024.

Vacancy contingency

If vacancies in level 5/4 of particular sports discipline are not filled due to non-availability of suitable candidates, such vacancies will be filled in level 3/2 from the same discipline.

Training and emoluments

Emoluments on initial appointment will be minimum pay of the level of pay plus other allowances as admissible at that time. During training period only stipend will be paid as applicable. Candidates may have to give security deposit and execute indemnity bond, wherever necessary.

Vacancies provisional

The number of vacancies indicated in this notification is provisional and may decrease or even become NIL at a later stage depending upon the actual needs of the Railway Administration.

Medical and verification

Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificate and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates.

Service Bond

Selected candidates will have to submit a “Service Bond” of 5 years at the time of appointment.
