CENTRAL RAILWAY has issued an official recruitment notification for Sports Quota — Level 3/2.

Sixteen Sports Quota posts in the printed men’s and women’s disciplines and events/positions.

Sports achievements/eligibility norms — Level 3/2, part 1: a) Represented in World Cup (Junior/Youth/Senior) OR; b) Represented in World Championships (Junior /Senior) OR; c) Represented in Asian Games (Senior) OR; d) Represented in Commonwealth Games (Senior) OR; e) Represented in Youth Olympics OR.

Sports achievements/eligibility norms — Level 3/2, part 2: f) Represented in Champions Trophy (Hockey) OR; g) At least 3rd position in Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior) OR; h) At least 3rd position in Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior) OR; i) At least 3rd position in South Asian Federations Games (Senior) OR; j) At least 3rd position in USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior) OR; k) At least 3rd position in World University Games OR; l) At least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships OR; m) At least 3rd position in National Games organized under aegis of Indian Olympic Association OR; n) At least 3rd position in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities OR; o) 1st position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).

Qualification

• Passed 12th (+2 stage) OR its Equivalent Examination from recognized Board.
• Passed Matriculation from recognized Board plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship.
• Passed Matriculation from recognized Board plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT.

Pay

Level – 3/2; Initial Pay (in ₹) 21700/- / 19900/-

Higher sports norms applied against Level 3/2

The sportspersons having the sports norms of level 5/4 and applied only against the level 3/2 shall be considered only in the level 3/2 and at the time of trial, he/she will have to submit undertaking that after joining Railway, he/she will not claim for higher level of pay on the basis of sports achievement prior to joining Railways.

Sports-event recency

Sports performance will be adjudged on the basis of the Participation in sports events held on or after 01/04/2024.

Training and emoluments

Emoluments on initial appointment will be minimum pay of the level of pay plus other allowances as admissible at that time. During training period only stipend will be paid as applicable. Candidates may have to give security deposit and execute indemnity bond, wherever necessary.

Vacancies provisional

The number of vacancies indicated in this notification is provisional and may decrease or even become NIL at a later stage depending upon the actual needs of the Railway Administration.

Medical and verification

Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificate and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates.

Service Bond

Selected candidates will have to submit a “Service Bond” of 5 years at the time of appointment.
