One UR Project Assistant (Office) position on fixed term contract for CSL AN Ship Repair Unit (CANSRU), Sri Vijaya Puram, Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Higher qualifications without prescribed qualification: Applicants without the prescribed qualification but possessing higher qualifications such as B. Tech or MSC shall not be considered.

PwBD degree of disability: For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, the degree of disability must be at least 40%, supported by a valid certificate in the prescribed format issued by the competent authority.
Medical fitness: Shortlisted candidates must undergo a medical examination in hospitals prescribed by CANSRU; appointment is subject to certification of medical fitness.
No travel allowance: No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the selection.

Selection process

Written testsSelection shall be through Written Tests consisting of an Objective Type Test and a Descriptive Type Test, conducted out of 100 marks.
Test duration and markingThe Objective Type Test shall last 90 minutes and comprise 80 multiple-choice questions carrying one mark each with no negative marks. The Descriptive Type Test shall last 45 minutes.
Test marksObjective Type Test: General Knowledge—05 marks; Reasoning—05 marks; Quantitative Aptitude—10 marks; General English—10 marks; Discipline related—50 marks. Descriptive Type Test: Writing skills (English language)—20 marks. Total—100 marks.
Test centreDepending upon the number of online applications, tests shall be held at Sri Vijaya Puram in Andaman & Nicobar, as decided by CANSRU; examination-centre allocation is at CSL's sole discretion.
Descriptive-answer evaluationCSL may fix minimum pass marks in the Objective and Descriptive tests. Descriptive answer sheets will be evaluated only for candidates who meet or exceed the fixed Objective Test pass marks.
Certificate verificationCandidates scoring the prescribed pass marks or above in the selection tests shall be shortlisted for certificate verification and must produce the specified original certificates and self-attested copies.

Rank listRank lists shall be based on aggregate Objective and Descriptive Written Test marks. Ties shall first be resolved using Discipline-part marks and then seniority in age.
