Selection process
- Written testThere will be 125 objective type questions carrying one mark each for a duration of 2.5 Hours. There will be no negative marking system applicable and therefore, no marks will be deducted in case of an incorrect answer. Candidates belonging to PwBD Category are eligible for an compensatory time of 50 minutes.
- Written-test qualifying marksA minimum of 50% marks for UR/ EWS (45% for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD against reserved posts) in written test will be required to enable the candidate to be considered for further consideration.
- Document scrutiny and shortlistingBased on the result of the written test and no. of vacancies, the documents submitted by candidates will be scrutinized by RITES Limited and shortlisted candidates will be called for interview preceded by verification of original documents.
- Interview and weightageCandidates will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:6 to the number of vacancies. Written Test - 60%; Interview - 40% (Technical & Professional proficiency - 30; Personality Communication & Competency – 10).
- Interview qualifying marksA minimum of 60% marks for UR/ EWS (50% for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/ PWD against reserved posts) in interview will be required to enable the candidate to be considered for placement on panel. There will be no minimum qualifying marks required in the aggregate.
- Written-test centresCandidates are required to give two preferences for their choice of center for the Written Test at the time of online application. Test centers are Delhi/Gurgaon, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, Bhubaneswar and Guwahati; all centers except Delhi/Gurgaon are tentative and will depend on number of candidates and discretion of RITES.
