Selected candidates, if posted as Clerk cum Typist have to acquire typing skill within a period of 2 years from the date of appointment at the speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi on Typewriter and if typewriting skills are tested on Personal Computers (PCs), then 40 words per minute in English or 35 words per minute in Hindi.

Selection process
- Written TestThe Written test will consist of 50 Objective Type Questions. The standard of question will be generally in conformity with the educational standards prescribed for the posts. The questions will be of objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include questions pertaining to General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence, Reasoning and General Knowledge on Cultural Activities/Cultural Area. Question paper will be bi-lingual (Hindi & English). Candidates can attempt written examination in Hindi or English. 50 Marks
- Assessment of Talent — practical demonstrationAssessment of Talent in the relevant field on the basis of practical demonstration: 35 Marks.
- Assessment of Talent — testimonials/prizesTestimonials/Prizes etc.: 15 Marks.
- Negative marking and durationThe written test will have negative marking and 1/3rd of marks allotted for the Objective Type questions will be deducted for every wrong answer. Written test shall be of duration of 60 minutes.
- Qualification for Practical DemonstrationOnly the candidates qualified in the Written Test shall be called for Practical Demonstration.
