IIT Roorkee has issued an official recruitment notification for POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP POSITION.
Postdoctoral position on “Sustainable storage and transport of hydrogen through Gas Hydrates.” under the mentorship of Prof. Hari Prakash Veluswamy. The tenure is two years.
Desirable qualification — thesis work: Thesis work on any aspect of gas hydrates or hydrogen storage - thermodynamics, kinetics, morphology, modelling/simulation or characterization studies is preferred
Desirable qualification — experimental setups: Knowledge and experience in establishing, handling and operating high pressure experimental setups (suited for gas hydrate formation/dissociation) is required
Desirable qualification — characterization techniques: Prior experience in performing characterization techniques including PXRD, DSC. BET, Raman spectroscopy etc., is preferred
Desirable qualification — recent Ph.D. defence: Candidates who have defended their Ph.D. thesis during the last three years will be preferred

A consolidated fellowship of Rs.80,000/- per month for two years and contingency of Rs.50,000/- per annum

- Academic responsibilities

Apart from research activities, the candidate wil! be entrusted with other academic responsibilities including mentoring undergraduate and M.Tech students, participating in research discussion and other activities as deemed fit by the PI.

The tenure of the PDF will be two years.
- Termination

The Fellowship may be terminated by either side by giving one-month notice.
- Expected joining

The candidate is expected to join the department as soon as the offer letter is released.
- Post-Doctoral Fellow status and facilities
