Local-resident condition: Applications are invited from local residents.
Service-minded preference: Preferably the PLVs shall be selected from those who do not look up to the income they derive from their services as PLVs, but should have a mindset to assist the needy in society.
Driving and computer preference: Preference shall also be given to candidates who have proficiency in driving (four wheelers), and proficiency in computers (MS Office).
Honorarium only: The work of PLVs does not carry any salary, remuneration or wage except honorarium fixed from time to time, as per rules.
Incomplete or late applications: Incomplete applications will be rejected, and no applications will be entertained after the fixed last date.
Objections concerning selection: In case of any objection regarding selection of PLVs, the decision of the Chairman shall be final and binding to all concerned.
Canvassing: Canvassing directly or indirectly will disqualify the candidate.
