Seat distribution may be reduced or increased by AAI. Reservation will apply according to the percentage prescribed for recruitment applicable to the state where apprentices are engaged.
Eligibility and Educational Qualification
Applicants should read these conditions together; possessing only a Degree or Diploma does not automatically make a candidate eligible.
- Degree/Diploma candidates must possess a full-time regular four-year Engineering Degree or three-year Diploma in the relevant stream from an AICTE/Government of India-recognized institution. HR and Finance candidates must hold the qualification listed in the vacancy table.
- General/OBC candidates need at least 50% aggregate marks . SC/ST candidates need at least 45% aggregate marks .
- Candidates whose result is expressed as CGPA/CGPI/CPI/SGPA must convert it into percentage using their university, board, AICTE or institute's approved conversion formula.
- Applicant must be a domicile of Maharashtra, specifically Nagpur or a nearby area of Nagpur, as stated in the notice.
- Degree/Diploma must have been passed on or after 1 April 2022 .
- Final-year candidates awaiting results may apply, but they must qualify and produce the required certificate when asked.
Who is not eligible?
A candidate is not eligible if they have already completed apprenticeship training, left apprenticeship midway, are currently undergoing apprenticeship with another organization or AAI at the same qualification level, or have one year or more of training/job experience after acquiring the essential qualification. Candidates whose qualifying examination is more than five years old on the date of joining are also ineligible.
Age Limit as on 31 July 2026
The minimum age is 18 years and the normal upper age limit is 26 years . Official relaxation is as follows:

Stipend and Training Benefits
Graduate Apprentices will receive ₹15,000 per month , while Diploma Apprentices will receive ₹12,000 per month . The stipend includes the AAI share and the Government/BOAT share; the Government share is credited directly into the apprentice's registered bank account through BOAT.
- Graduate Apprentice: ₹8,850 AAI share + ₹6,150 Government share.
- Diploma Apprentice: ₹6,550 AAI share + ₹5,450 Government share.
- Training duration: one year.
- No change in the allotted place of training will be entertained.
Application Fee
No application fee is required. The official notification states “No Application Fees.” Candidates should not pay any third party for submitting the NATS application.

Selection Process
AAI has not announced a written examination for this apprentice intake. Selection will proceed through these stages:
- Merit shortlisting: candidates are shortlisted according to percentage marks in the qualifying examination.
- Interview/document verification: shortlisted applicants are informed only through their registered email ID.
- Medical fitness: selected candidates must submit a medical fitness certificate from a Gazetted Government Medical Officer or Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking at joining.
- Police verification: a police verification certificate from the candidate's local area of residence is required.
Final selection remains subject to verification of certificates, testimonials and fulfilment of all eligibility conditions. AAI's decision is final regarding eligibility, acceptance or rejection and mode of selection.
