State Bank of India has issued an official recruitment notification for Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales).
Appointment as Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in clerical cadre under a special recruitment drive for SC/ST/OBC backlog vacancies. Applications are limited to one State/UT, and candidates must meet the specified opted local-language requirements.
Trained Apprentice of SBI age-relaxation eligibility: Relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable to trained Apprentice of SBI, whose engagement start date is on or after 01.01.2022 and have completed the specified branch experience of one year successfully in SBI on or before last date of registration i.e. 27.08.2026, provided his/ her conduct and performance is found to be satisfactory during the entire training period. Successful completion refers to passing the skill evaluation test (Trade Test) and obtaining the joint National Apprenticeship Certificate jointly issued by SBI-NSDC/ BFSI-SSC.

PAY SCALE: Rs.24050-1340/3-28070-1650/3-33020-2000/4-41020-2340/7-57400-4400/1-61800-2680/1-64480. The starting Basic Pay is Rs.26730/- (Rs.24050/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates). The total starting emoluments of a Clerical Cadre employee payable at Metro like Mumbai will be around Rs.46,000/- per month inclusive of D.A., other allowances at the current rate and two additional increments for newly recruited graduate junior associates. Allowances may vary depending upon the place of posting.

- Specified opted local language

Candidates applying for vacancies of a particular State/UT should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in the specified opted local language of that State/UT. The local-language test forms part of selection and is conducted after qualifying the online Main examination but before joining; candidates who fail it will not be offered appointment. Candidates producing a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing study of that language will not be required to undergo the test.

The new recruits must have flair for marketing and will be required to make customer calls and provide banking services, advisory services and cross sell products etc. inside and outside Bank premises. The duties may involve extensive outdoor travelling. Depending upon requirement, there will be flexible working hours and working in shifts.

Selection process
- Selection processThe selection process will consist of on-line test (Preliminary & Main exam) and test of specified opted local language.
- Preliminary ExaminationOnline Preliminary Exam consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests; 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer. No minimum qualifying marks are prescribed for individual test OR for aggregate score.
- Main ExaminationThe online Main Examination comprises 190 questions for 200 marks with a total duration of 2 Hr. 40 min. Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks on aggregate, as decided by the Bank. No minimum qualifying marks for individual subject are prescribed.
- Local Language Proficiency TestProvisionally selected candidates not having studied (in class 10th or 12th) any of the specified local language of the State applied, will have to appear in Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT).
- Final merit and selectionThe marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for selection; only aggregate marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II) will be considered for the final merit list. Final selection is subject to verification of eligibility and application information and qualifying the specified opted local-language test, where applicable.
04 How to apply

Candidates can apply online and no other mode of application will be accepted. Candidates must register through the Bank's printed current-openings website under “Special Recruitment drive for Junior Associates 2026.”
- 02Application fee payment
After registration candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through online mode by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking.
- 03Uploads required
Candidates should first scan their photograph, signature, left hand thumb impression, hand-written declaration as detailed under guidelines for scanning the photograph and signature(Annexure-II).
- 04Submission and editing
Once the application is filled in completely, candidates should submit the data. No change/edit will be allowed thereafter.
- 05Application printout
On successful completion of transaction, e-receipt and application form with fee details will be generated, which may be printed for record. Printout of Application Form is NOT to be sent to SBI.
