Stipend instalments, attendance and expenses: The stipend of the entire duration will be paid through electronic transfer in two equal installments i.e. 15000/- after the completion of the 3 months and 15000/- after the completion of 6 months of the internship. Minimum 15 days attendance in a month will be required for counting the regularity. Any other expenditure such as lodging, boarding, transport, medical, etc., if any, shall be borne by the individual concerned during the entire course of the internship.

- Internship duration and stipend eligibility

The internship period ranges from 4 weeks (minimum) to 6 months (maximum). However, only the candidates offered internship for the duration period of 6 months will be eligible to receive a stipend of Rs.5000/- per month by the respective Lab/Estt., through electronic transfer.

A candidate enrolled for a certain period may request an extension, subject to the overall limit of six months and examination by the laboratory from financial and infrastructure angles; there is no provision for stipend beyond six months.

- Official Secrets Act and assigned work

The interns will only be granted the duty/task for the period of the internship, considering the nature of the work and Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923, and therefore, would be liable to the provisions of the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923 and rules and regulations of DRDO / laboratories.
- Access restriction and termination

Interns will only be granted access to non-classified areas. Failure to comply with laboratory rules and regulations or any breach of the Security Act will be grounds for termination without notice.
- Injuries and equipment

DRDO will not be responsible for injuries sustained during the internship. Candidates must carefully handle equipment provided by DRDO and will be liable to compensate DRDO for damage or degradation.
- Confidentiality

The candidate must not disclose or publish restricted/confidential DRDO information and an undertaking will be sought.
- Attendance and working hours

Attendance will be marked as per the lab’s process and working hours will be as per the laboratory’s time.
- Leave and holidays

No leave except sick leave on production of valid prescriptions will be given; applicable gazetted/closed holidays available in the laboratory will also apply.
