  • Graduate degree in professional course (B.E/B.TECH) in first division with NET/GATE
  • Post Graduate degree in professional course (M.E/M.TECH) in first division both at Graduate and Post Graduate level
  • Post graduate degree in Basic Science in first division with NET Qualification
Pay

Stipend of Rs.37,000/- per month plus HRA as applicable (at present 30%). Hence, total emoluments will be Rs. 48,100/- . Based on the availability, accommodation can be provided, in which case, HRA will be deducted.

Tenure

Candidate will work initially for first two years as JRF and will subsequently be elevated as SRF for the remaining two/three years, subject to satisfactory performance to be assessed annually and as per DRDO rules.

Serving candidates

Candidates working in Govt./Public Sector Undertaking/Autonomous Bodies should apply through proper channel and must meet the printed declaration and No Objection Certificate requirements.

Temporary fellowship and no absorption right

The Offer of fellowship is purely of temporary in nature for a limited period as per rules in vogue and does not confer any right for absorption in DRDO.

Prior JRF award ineligibility

Those who were already awarded JRF position in any of the DRDO Laboratories/centers earlier, are not eligible to apply again.

CGPA conversion proof

Candidate need to attach the proof of CGPA to percentage conversion formula from the University/Institution along with the application form.

Vacancy variation and cancellation

The above notified fellowships are likely to be increased or decreased or cancelled depending upon the prevailing requirement restrictions, if any, as per the policy of Government of India.

Late and incomplete applications

Selection process

  • ShortlistingEligible candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of GATE score/percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying degree.
  • InterviewThe short listed candidates will be required to appear for personal/on-line interview at DYSL-AI or through Video Conferencing as decided by Director, DYSL-AI; date and time will be communicated separately by speed post/email.
  • Final decisionThe decision of the committee constituted by Director, DYSL-AI in selecting the candidate will be final and binding on all the candidates.

Eligibility

Age requirementUpper age limit: 28 years as on the date of interview. Age and Educational qualification will be calculated / determined as on last date for submission of Application. These clauses provide conflicting age reference points, so the cutoff date is not normalized.
