CID Andhra Pradesh Recruitment 2025 - Qualification

1. Home Guard (Category-B – Technical & Other Trades): Must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board.

CID Andhra Pradesh Recruitment 2025 - Age Limit

1. Home Guard (Category-B – Technical & Other Trades): Shall not be less than 18 years and not more than 50 years as on the date of notification. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

CID Andhra Pradesh Recruitment 2025 - Selection Process

Selection shall be made as per the procedure prescribed under Rule 5 of the Andhra Pradesh Home Guards Rules, 1962 and as amended from time to time. The selection of candidates will be as follows:
(i) Physical Efficiency Test: The candidate who qualifies in the Physical Efficiency Test will be subjected to written examination.
(ii) Written Examination: The English/ Telugu written examination (Objective type) will be held for the above said posts on Intermediate standard. The questions will be in English or Telugu. The candidate has to answer the questions in one language only, chosen by him/ her.

CID Andhra Pradesh Recruitment 2025 - How to Apply

1. Applications are invited from the eligible candidates within the age group of 18 to 50 years as on 01.05.2025 (age relaxation will be allowed as per the rules) for enrolment to the post of Home Guard (Voluntary Service) in the Technical & Other Trades category in Crime Investigation Department, Andhra Pradesh.


2. The candidate shall fill the application form appended to these rules in his/ her own handwriting in blue ink/ ball point pen and submit the same to the concerned Superintendent of Police, who is the ex-officio Commandant of Home Guards of the respective District, in which he/ she intends to enrol as Home Guard.


3. The candidate shall submit the filled in application form along with attested copies of the following documents:

(a) Educational Qualification,
(b) Date of Birth,
(c) Community,
(d) Residence Certificate,
(e) Driving License in case of Technical Drivers,
(f) NCC / NSS & Sports Certificate, if any,
(g) Discharge Certificate in case of Ex-Servicemen,
(h) Proof of Identity,
(i) Three (3) passport size photographs attested by a Gazetted Officer, one of which should be affixed to the application form at the space provided,
(j) Self addressed envelope with a postal stamp of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty Five only) and
(k) Any other relevant documents.

4. The name of the post applied for should be written on the top of the envelope.


5. The application should reach to the concerned Superintendent of Police on or before 15.05.2025. The applications received after 15.05.2025 will not be considered and the Department is not responsible for any postal delay.
